Objective: SWBAT define advocacy, their strengths, and areas of need.
Do Now: 10 min Scholars will silently and independently complete the self-awareness worksheet.
Whole Class: 30 min Scholars will explore the meaning of self-advocacy. Scholars will be expected to be reflective and critical of themselves in order to work to understand self using the Strength Chains activity.
Collaborative Group: 40 min In groups, scholars will complete identifying chains. After, we will read The Traffic Metaphor and annotate the text in order to gain a deeper understanding of how the way we learn can be affected by LD's.
